Looking for a gift for that person who has everything? I bet they don't have a turnip with a face! This turnip was based on our t-shirt/sticker design that was inspired by some weird medieval art. It has become a family favorite, so I decided to make this strange little fellow come to life. He is made of linen, stuffed with polyfil. The leaves are also linen with a little wire inside. The face is painted with Inktense pencils, colored pencils, and ink. I used a spray fixative over this but I don't recommend getting this wet as Inktense pencils are water soluble and the color might run. Little lines and wispy "roots" are hand stitched onto his....body? Including the leaves, the turnip is about 13" long and about 4.5" wide. There is a metal ring for hanging on the back of the leaves, but he can also sit in a bowl or lean up on a shelf...whatever one does with a stuffed turnip with a face.
